Today Must Read Poems!

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Reading at an irregular
Hour, I thought
The clock must be stuck
With it’s two hands
Frozen, for winter sets
Tougher tasks to perform
And breeding an inner reform.

Closed windows still
Catches the stillness
The occasional rain
The eerie call of night birds
I think the calendar sets
Targets for organized hands
Sleepy are the moments
Not my innate sense.

Rugged and rock like
The words form from
Nowhere, dodging the lines
Hiding from the light
As I alight from my chair
To recline on the window
Ledge, the stillness outside
Mingles in a lightning
I remain still, very still
One that is humbled.
