And Love Hurts by David Angelo

And love hurts
like an axe to the head
because I know it so
Don’t lecture me with
language I don’t understand
because I know it so
And pain hurts like
the world’s population
of sharks all feeding
on you at once because
I know it so I know it so well
that the smell of blood
in the water lingers
like a friend you had once.
